This weekend in Budapest you can experience a real traditional Hungarian show by Parno Graszt, and a more solid evening promised by punk-rock bands Junkies and Aurora.
An exciting day for the whole family on Saturday will bring musical folk tale about Carnival in a form that is more than child friendly at Fonó Budai Zeneház. Singing voices fill the rooms in the MagNet Community House on the Winter Night of Choirs and probably the best two Hungarian football teams will play against each other this Saturday at Groupama Arena Budapest.

Winter Night of Choirs – COMMUNITY SINGING
Singing voices fill the rooms in the MagNet Community House on the Winter Night of Choirs, with the participation of 17 choirs, representing various genres such as folk, classic, contemporary and pop. You can listen to concerts, enjoy the Singing Courtyard, and sing the closing song together with the participants at the end of the night. From 5 to 10 pm, tickets from 1,000 HUF to 2,500 HUF.

Ferencváros – MOL Fehérvár FC – FOOTBALL
Probably the best two Hungarian football teams will play against each other this Saturday at Groupama Arena Budapest. You can buy tickets at the Arena in person (10 am – 6 pm on weekdays and 9 am – 1 pm on Saturday and before the game) and you will need the following: your ID or passport (either Hungarian or a foreign one) so you can register your personal supporter-card. All tickets are issued to your personal supporter-card and you can enter the venue only by scanning your palm of the hand at the gates. Kick-off: 7:30 pm. Tickets from 2,350 HUF.

Dorota/Vedat Akdag/RitMosaic – CONCERTS
Hungarian band Dorota will play their first album (Solar the Monk) to the audience at Gólya, targeting those post-hypnotic community spaces. They play something you would call an ecstatic folk of a non-existent world. The night is kicked off by the RitMosaic percussion ensemble and there will be also a special set by Vedat Akdağ.

Sisi and her beloved Hungary – CASTLE WALK
The Empress of Austria and Queen of Hungary, arguably the most beautiful queen in the world, used to spend long weeks in Buda Castle. This tour will walk you through the past and present of the Várkert Bazár, a neo-Renaissance complex designed by Miklós Ybl and built as an enclosure to the royal gardens. Guided tour in English at 2 pm on Saturday, tickets 4,000 HUF.

Budapest Fish Festival SAT-SUN – GASTRONOMY
Budapest Fish Festival this February is a great event to visit especially if you like carp!
